System Knife sharpener Review + Giveaway

 

System Sharpener is a very practical and useful tool in your home. You will be surprised by how  light-weight and compact it is. Doesn't take much space on your counter. It secures in place with a suction pad. I tried mine on the counter and on the stove and it stayed secure on both places.

 It has two stages of sharpening. Fine stage and coarse stage. The coarse stage is for blunt knives and the fine stage to eliminate burns and to polish it. 

How to use: Place a knife in the sharpening slot. Using slight downward pressure, run the blade from its heel to its point through the slot. Repeat three to five times.

The knives are to be sharpened every six months, but in order to keep your blade sharp use the fine stage once a week.

The system knife sharpener is easy to clean. Just use a wet cloth and dry it. You can use a brush for the ceramic and the metal stones.

I used it to sharpen different blades, and it did a great job on all of them. I like the color as well. It matches my colorful knifes and brings a spark of color to my kitchen.

Hango lunch bags, set of two, are lightweight and easy to pack. They are well done and sturdy. I like that they come in two sizes large and small.

They are insulated and keep your food properly stored. Just add an ice pack, or leave it the way it is.  When I saw these cute lunch bags I thought about my outings with my toddler girl. We go different places and I take snacks along, plus lunch ones in a while,  and now she has her own little snack/lunch bag to match mommy's.

Like most of the plastic bags, they have a smell that should fade away in time. I left mine on the balcony to have the smell gone. Other than that they are a very good addition to our lunch time. Valhalla Flat-Pack Toiletry Kit Review

I have several travel toiletry packs and I like them a lot. But there are different things I like better at the Valhalla kit.
I like that is light weight and easy to pack. When traveling, extra room is an issue, so finding compact items to take along it is very important.

The TSA bottles that come with it might seem just regular plastic bottles. But the green and blue bottles are made of a silicone type of material that is very light and flexible, which is really nice. They also have suction cups and can be attached in the shower or on the mirror, depends on what you choose to add in them. The detachable mirror is also a plus. You have a convenient mirror and hook for freshing up anywhere.

When traveling by plane, the security check is very strict, so you are only allowed a certain amount of liquids and gels. And this kit is more than spacious for the things you can get along.

Although it is designed for traveling, I like to use it as an extra storage space for my miscellaneous items near the sink.

I gave it a try for my lunch meal and I was happy my cooking time was fairly short. I 'spriralized' a  sweet potato, I steamed it for 3 minutes, I added the grilled chicken and steam broccoli, and that was it. Unlike the zucchini, the potato, was a little more difficult to twist, as it is a harder veggie. So after I did more than half of the potato, the remaining part I cut into small chunks and steamed it with the rest of it.  The nice part about the slicing/ spiralizing of veggies is that they cook a lot faster, and that is a bonus for a 'on to go' mother. 

 For some reason the black cap that came with it's not my favorite tool. When more than half of a potato was sliced, I used a fork to continue the job and worked better. You need to make sure you don't insert your fingers in the spiralizer as the blades are very sharp. Which brings me to the next thing I like about it. It comes with a brush that you need to use when washing it. The little pieces that stuck inside were easily removed using the brush.

My Impressions:

Knowing this much about them, gives me confidence on using the product with no problems or questions. After the birth of my second child, my hair started to lose it's glow and I lost a great amount on hair. Every time I would brush my hair, I would pick up big clumps of hair. I didn't think that the Argan Oil would be a natural treatment for hair loss, but I was surprised to see that after one use, I don't lose so much hair. I don't know if it has to do with the healing properties of vitamins and oxidants, or what, but this is my experience with it so far. I will be using it in the next few weeks prior to washing my hair to confirm the results. But so far, I am really excited with the product!  but this is my experience with it so far. I like that it doesn't have a smell and it's not really greasy. The bottle is quite big and it has a glass dropper inside that makes it easy to use several drops at a time.

My impression:

I was really excited to try these laundry bags as I already used some before, and I know how useful they are. Think of all the cloths, scarfs, tights, socks, that get thrown together in the washing machine, and how difficult it is to get them apart when they are dry. Also how frustrating it can be to find your favorite scarf, or a delicate shirt all wrinkled and damaged from zippers, snaps etc of other clothes. I have to admit that the old laundry bag I used before was a cheap piece, and did the work. But now I got to experience laundry with a good quality product and I can tell the difference.

I really like how the zipper has a hidden space, (a zipper guard), that keeps it from dangling and damage over time. The product I had before didn't have that, so it is definitely a plus.It's nice to have a variety of bags, 2 medium and 2 large. One of the large bag is black which gives the option to keep  lighter colors together and dark colors together. With the previous laundry bag I had, I used the white bag for dark colors and the color of the bag become dark in time.

The fabric didn't change at all after the washer and drier's normal cycles. But it stayed as white and firm just like it was before using them. The scarf, hat and my baby's jacket were washed well, but the hat didn't thoroughly dry, so I will plan to not add too many items in the medium bag, as the scarf I added was pretty big already.

24 Set Silicone Baking Muffins/Cupcakes Liner Cups Review

With young children, especially little girls, cooking can be fun if you have the right tools. My toddler really liked the color variety and the texture of these cups. We used them to make muffins. I had them in the oven at 380' for 30 minutes. They are made of silicone and nothing changed in the texture of that temperature. They are very easy to wash.

 I tried to take the muffins out of the cup while hot, but I suggest you wait a little to cool down. This way they come out pretty easy and you get to enjoy a professional look of a muffin/cupcake with little indents around it, just like the paper gives. Unlike the paper ones you discard after the first use, these silicone cup liners can be used over and over again and still look like new. You can either take them out, or serve them in cups and wash them after. Either way, they are a nice spark of color to brighten ones day and put a smile on a child's face.

My impression:

I received the Indian Healing Clay Powder to review. The container is pretty big 16 oz, and lasts you a long time. I have several cuts on my hands due to harsh weather and constant hand washing, so I used the powder to wash my hands with, but I didn't use it long enough to see significant changes. Next, I used it to make a facial mask following the instructions using three parts water, one part clay and made a paste which I applied on my face for half the time required. After I washed and dried my face I had some redness, but it went away fast and didn't create discomfort or any rash after at all. I did use a moisturizer after this treatment. I am not much in facial masks, but I will continue to do some on and off, plus I am eager to use this Clay Powder in the tub for detox.
