About the coupons
I have learned that you need to know the store's policy, and follow it to the letter. And it works.
Make sure you read the policies entirely as well as the coupons you are using. Coupons are privileges so let's use them correctly.
For most stores you can combine one manufacturer coupon with one store coupon on the same item. If that item is on sale you can get it as low as free. That worked for me and I'm glad I can share with you some deals I found out there. Know the store's coupon policy:

- Put together a binder and baseball card pages to place your coupons in. I have 4 binders on 2 categories. Groceries and household items (plus miscellaneous).
- Buy the Sunday newspapers on Saturday. They will lower your cost. All the inserts are there so you don't miss anything. You can also find coupons in different stores in boxes on the shelf, get some of those. More good sources for coupons include:
SmartSource,
Kelloggs (for cereal),
krazycouponlady (has them well organized on categories)

- Request RedPlum Mailings – You can fill out a form to have RedPlum coupon inserts mailed to your home! Click HERE! Here is a mail-in rebate form database – check it often as it is always changing!
- Be sure to check the fraudulent coupons list HERE! Ignorance is not an excuse – you can still get into trouble even if you weren’t aware that the coupon was a fake.
- Check the Coupon Information Corporation (CIC) for info on coupon misredemption and fraud - follow ethical couponing practices at all times!
- Once you have your papers sort them by name. RedPlum, SmartSource, P&G, and Parade (if you get all these) Usually P&G comes once a month.
- Start ripping the whole page out from the middle, and lay them on a surface by items like the picture below. Do that with all like papers and stack them on top of each other so you have the same pages in one pile. Don't toss any coupon until it expires. You will find a lot of things on clearance and they can be free with coupons.
- Once you finished sorting them, staple them together. Make sure you don't staple them on the bar codes, but on the picture.
- Start cutting them. Make sure you don't cut off the date or the bar code.
- Now you are ready to insert the coupons in your folder.
- It will be helpful to label your pages according to the coupons you add in your binder. For the grocery binder I have meats, dairy, sauces, drinks, cereal & snacks etc.
- For the household items I have make-up, medicine, toilet paper, toothpaste & dental hygiene items, office & school supplies, detergents, cleaning supplies & air fresheners.
- Good things to carry with you in the binder are: scissors, calculator, pencil & paper.
- They all fit in the Nursery Bag I got for free, and many of you got it as well.
Now you are ready to experience great shopping deals and saving money and become a great couponer.
